Page Title Standards - MicrocontentUpdated: 23rd July 2001 Page titles will be arranged according to the following structure: Page description – Global position, ContextGlobal position"Sage" should always feature in this part of the page title. Approved global position content:
Sage UK Limited– for all pages not covered by the sections below (don't use "Ltd"). Sage WebShop – for all pages in the webshop. Sage Reseller/Accountants/Developer/SageCover Community – for all respective community pages accessed after logging in. Page description is always the name of the page. This can be "Company Overview", "System Requirements" (for product pages) etc. This should describe the content of the page as much as possible. Keep it as short as possible by deleting extraneous words. Context will vary the most. It can be "Accounting Solutions", "Press Area" etc. Usually this is the category which the page falls under. This field can also be used to clarify the overall context of the page. This is the most flexible element of the page title and can be dropped altogether if there is no relevant information to go in here. If space permits, relevant keywords can be inserted into this element. Example: For product pages in shop – "Instant Accounting Pricing – Sage WebShop, Accounting Solutions" Don’t use "Pricing – Sage WebShop, Instant Accounting" Every page should have a unique page title (where frames are used there will be only one page title for the entire frameset). When using product names – use "Sage Payroll" rather than "Payroll" (i.e. don’t separate "Sage" from the product name). Summary
